Leonardo Nogueiria – aka Leozino, began training in Luta Livre and Vale Tudo at the age of 16 with his older brother, Alexander “Pequeno” Nogueiria, the seven time Japanese Shooto World Champion and Brazilian Luta Livre Champion.  With only six months of training, Leonardo began competing and winning submission , Vale Tudo and Luta Livre championships.  Leonardo was awarded with a black belt after 10 years of training.

Now, after being asked by Kru Nestor, a long time student and purple belt under Team Pequeno/Daniel D. Dane, to come to New York, Leonardo will bring Luta Livre and Vale Tudo to America and teach at Ultimate Gym.  A flawless master technician and fighter, Leonardo hopes to compete here in the U.S  with aspirations of someday entering  the UFC .
